The name project Sunrise is a five part piece for Harp; strings and jazz ensemble combining both written traditional classical technique of composition and also improvised sections with chords and graphic instructions. This composition is an exploration into combining fully notated works with guided improvisation. These two forms of music usually quite separated in performances and pieces , here are combined to form a suite of 5 pieces linked with the theme of Sunrise.
the second and fourth parts are a fully notated string trio which stands alone as a piece.
